Morning Peeps well low n behold looks like my over wintered #canna has its #firstbloom coming 🙌🙆 Excited as I've never normally been able to over winter them, but they were duly looked after on my bedroom window sill this year 😍 Bit wetter n milder today looks like I'm going to have to clean the oven after work not sure that's #mondaymotivation for ya 😵😕 #staysafe lovely peeps 😄

Morning Keely. Oh wow ....it certainly does! I cut mine right down so some leaves are just beginning to push through. Take care and enjoy your day 👋😯

@flof1952 I cut these back late Winter so they are doing well and they have been left outside last 10 days too 😊 enjoy your day 😁

Cataloguing oh another one in bloom 💕💕💕

Very pretty and looks just like it's supposed to😊

@gjones giving them another go I never have much success with these in my climate bit cooler my end of UK but at least these are in flower 😆

I'm trying one again this year too. I have the opposite problem. They do fine until our summer heat arrives. Then the seem to dry and get crispy and die. I've put them in partial shade this year so hope it works better.

@gjones we can but hope 😄👍

For the most part, Katie and Keely, @gjones @Keely people here in the southeast US put their cannas in full sun

Leslie do you have hot dry heat or hot humid heat? I'm sure it gets hot and humid there- you're in Tennessee right? I wonder if mine dry up because it's too dry of a heat🤔 It's doing okay right now but the heat is only starting. Supposed to feel like 100F this coming weekend. @lesliecole49

Yes Tennessee Katy @gjones very hot and humid. I don't grow bank as so I can only tell you what I did. I wonder then, with a lack of humidity if they wouldn't do better in some shade. 🤔 Interesting. I used to live in Arizona where it's very dry. Like an oven compared to a sauna

@lesliecole49 I'd definitely compare our summer heat to that of Arizona - hot and dry with the occasional shower.

I didn't realize it got that warm in Canada! I used to live in Michigan too and it rarely got that warm. (Military brat, I've been a few places)

I can't speak for all of Canada but on the prairies we have hot dry summers. Today it was 92F and by Sunday it's supposed to be 100F. In August (harvest season) we often get temps of 100 F. @lesliecole49

Wow, Katy, ya learn something new everyday! Roughly, where are you? I'd like to look it up on the map. @gjones
#sowfarsogood with my over wintered Canna will definitely bring them indoors again for Winter 💘💗💘💗
