Pouteria australis syn. Planchonella australis

Wind blew it off before it was ripe :( Figured I'd try it anyway. There's potential but being unripe it had that dry mouth tannin thing going on so not super palatable.

Were there any more to try? #gyo

I don't know how I didn't notice this earlier but this morning I found my very first black apple! It might be nearly ripe, maybe? Totally out of season - I believe it should have been ripe back in summer!

Flower buds just emerging from new growth. It flowered for the first time last year... maybe year 2 I might get some fruit?!? Fingers crossed!!
