I love growing unusual and interesting things and am teaching my son to love it too. I have a tiny mostly potted garden in Newcastle NSW.
Heart shaped flower pods. Supposed to be self-fertile but I keep missing my window for helping out with some mechanical intervention #autumnblooms
@KathyB I’ve never heard of this before. Is it hardy for the uk?
@pixierose they are native to tropical South America so can only just make it through my warm-temperate/maybe sub-tropical (depending on the map) winters.
@KathyB Thank you 🙏🏼 for your information and reply. 👍🏼😊

Not sure if it's good @brightcolours ... Just have to hope!!!! 😀
OMG!! It's a week of firsts for my garden! This is my first ever soursop flower!! (Looks for like a nut!) So excited! There is conflicting info re being self-fertile. Everyone cross Ur fingers for me!!!
How is it looking now?
I'll check tomoz @brightcolours. There were cases on the grass but I didn't check the tree. Derrrr me!
New shoots after Winter. My mum was in Queensland this week and a nursery there told her you could NEVER grow this in Newcastle. Well I say 😝 to that! 😉
Has it ever fruited?
@brightcolours it's not old enough yet. I gre it from seed and takes about 10 years
Amazing!!!! Very well doneto you! Absolutely amazing breaking the barriers really cool & you say from seed? Wow!
This is one of my most tropical trees. Doing well for winter! (living next to the hot water heater helps!)
