The rescued Scabious Blue while looking tatty on top shows promise in the new growth in the middle 😊

Here's the Scabious Blue deadheaded, trimmed, repotted into a mix of clay loam, general purpose compost and sharp sand (to aid drainage). I've fed it with a solution of Miraclegrow so fingers crossed now 🙏🤗

Doesn't look that bad when cleaned up 👍

I would just cut back by a third, remove any dead stems and give a good feed @jpea

Sounds like an excellent plan, most of these plants are planted in wood fibre with minimal nutriment so it's dried out and starved, poor thing...

Don't know this plant, but I'd give it liquid food, not just the slow release - it needs it asap. Even the roots might be slightly dried out, when repotting/planting out, don't overwater or it'll rot until the roots get back to normal

Right tomorrow it's bedded down in a ericaceous compost wrap after having the dead bits cut away and the rest trimmed and then fed a feed of miraclegrow 🙂🙏🍀oh and a quiet word of comfort in its flower like ears 😊

I refuse to let this poor Scabious blue die for lack of water (£1 from homebase)

That is exactly what I do! Rescued plants almost all come back to life and bring lots of joy

Loving the stripes. Grass looks great. Mines terrible, full of weeds. 😩

That's down to the lawn mower's roller 😀 (have to admit a sinful pride in my lawns ☺️)
