Clematis x cartmanii 'Avalanche'

I did manage to leave some flowers on this pretty clematis😂

Trying to cut off all the dead stuff yesterday. Guess what? cut off the best piece off it that was flowering away on the end of a long dead looking stem🤦🏼

Oh that's great Joan and very lovely it looks too. Mine literally avalanched the other day, I obviously hadn't tied it in well enough and one branch collapsed 🙄

Hope it recovers Jane. One stem of mine is heading up the crab apple tree but the flowers are obscured by the blossom 😂 @pelly

Thanks Joan. The stem doesn't appear to be broken so hopefully it should be ok. Yours is a bit wayward then 😂
