My 5 yr old and I spend a lot of time outdoors in our garden oasis. I love flowers, cottage garden style! #GTseedfairy 💕USDA Zone 8b; Sunset Zone 7
#abelia #grandiflora #flowers
This is so pretty!!💘😍
Wow!! I took out all the dead trunks, and this bush is gorgeous! 💕 #abelia #pruning #alwayslearning
Such a pretty tree!💕💕💕
What a lovely shape!
I love shrubs with raised canopy 👍👍
No regular pruning is required with abelias although they can be trimmed to shape after flowering. Old and thin growth of evergreen species should also be removed after flowering, For deciduous species this should be done in February.
Seeds may be sterile?
Seeds from my #abelia 😊
It did have a scent, but not as strong as the jasmine. You had to have the flower right under your nose to tell. Lol. @cyndi
@cyndi I just read I need to cut back the old canes. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year. I kept pruning it at the wrong time and taking all the future flowers off. 😞
Here's the bloom on one of my mystery plants. It likes to cascade... And it's a tall bush.
It looks like a Weigela. They are beautiful.
I found it! It's an #abelia , not #weigela ... Which explains why I'm not getting many flowers. I keep pruning the plant at the wrong time! :(
But I would like a #weigela :) @tnhelser
Help me identify this plant. Tiny pink flowers in the summer.
