Thanks Urszula. They're from the southern states of USA & only just flowering, way behind the regular runner bean plants here. 🤞 I might get some pods from them 🙏 @ublaszko
Love it 😍 Has beautiful foliage too. I saw one on Gardener's World when they showed climbing vines trial. I got some nice climbers too to grow from seed. Cardinal vine, love in a puff, cobea 👍👍
Yes, great dark purple/green leaves 👍 & not touched by slugs & snails, which is definitely not the case with the other runner beans! I've found cardinal climbers difficult, but got 2 cobaea growing on an arch, but never heard of love in a puff! @ublaszko
I heard about love in a puff vine from Rachel and she sent me some seeds earlier this year. I bought cobea seeds in Poland and managed to get it to germinate but it was April when I got them so nit enough time to get the flowers. I'll try again next year.
Yes, I've found that cobeas need a long season if they're to flower. Mine ha ent yet & it was late last summer/autumn when they did & after 2 months of hot weather too! @ublaszko If this hyacinth bean produces seeds I'll save you some if you want? 👍
That would be great, thank you! @sieveheadsarah overwintered her cobea and it has flowered much earlier. 👍👍 I'm going to try cobea again next year and see if I can get it to overwinter in the house.
@ublaszko Hi Urszula. I have seeds ready for this now & the vipers bugloss you also liked. Just let me know your email address & I can arrange to post them (& any others you may like) asap 👍😊
Looks nice and tropical 🌴😁👍

May need to be in the house. I tried preserving them over winter in the greenhouse, but they didn't make it 😑 @ublaszko
I don't have a greenhouse (or even space for one) so it's either overwintering indoors or I start again from seed 😉
One didn't do me much good! 😆 @ublaszko
