I think it's Carduus

Thanks Debra. Just had a quick look at Carduus. The flower head does look like it doesn’t it? Mine doesn’t have spiky or hairy leaves or stems though. The leaves are smooth and approx 20cm long? 🤔 @london148

Thanks Keely. The leaves certainly look right. From memory though, I seem to think it only has a single flower at the top rather than multiple flowers like a perennial lobelia? (Providing my memory is up to parr ofcourse...but that’s a big if)!!! 😆😂 @Keely

There are Carduus with smooth leaves and stems . But I can't remember the full name ! 🤔 🌿🌿

Yes, might get a better idea when it flowers . I also thought it might be Brittle Stem Hemp . But it's fun waiting for the flower to be sure ! Esspecially if we are all wrong 😆
