Our garden is over an acre and is part of a subdivided orange farm in an irrigation area in the Riverina, NSW. Hot and dry in summer, frosty in winter
My mum's enormous flowering #agave #foxtailagave
Wow. That's impressive. I read that Agave died once they flowered. That would be a shame so hope it's a different variety
They do die after flowering @Shephes but there are lots of pups around the base. It's been flowering for months and still has a few to go by the looks of it.
Wow that's Big 👍📷

Oh dear. Nature is amazing. Such a magnificent flower. Not surprised it's the last hooray it would have required a lot of energy. Thank you for sharing @inest
Wow ! -- I thought my Agave had done well in the flowering stakes -- nothing on this remarkable show !!
--- by the way my Agave is still going , after anticipating possible slow deterioration???
@whitesusan I think they have to be 10 years plus before they'll flower. They're pretty indestructible. The only problem I've had is some frost damage in winter.
Indeed ! -- have a look at my Plants section -- the Agave Americana
