All wet n cold on my day off - just not fair so I'm admiring and talking to all my seedlings in my greenhouse (really my conservatory but never been used as that 😆)

Is that the seed husk on the seedling Liz? Some of my Cosmos seedlings had them stuck firmly. I left them alone but it seemed to inhibit their growth

I had these on my Cosmos too but managed to get most of them off Sue. @susanhumphrey333 😊😊😊

I damaged one of the leaves trying so I left them alone Jane 😊 @pelly

@susanhumphrey333 yes pesky seed husk always an issue with these seedlings I've picked them off the others I'll do the same with this if not sorted itself in a day or two 😁

There are a few left but if they don't come off easily I leave them and try again in a couple of days. Maybe they need to dry out a bit more? @susanhumphrey333 😊😊😊

My shaky hands don't help. I'm frightened of doing more harm than good Liz 🙄😂 @pelly

Have you got lots of seedlings and do you need them all Sue? If you do then I would leave them and prick out the best. I have potted on the best and left the others and will see what happens. @susanhumphrey333 😊😊😊

The Cosmos seeds aren't doing great so I'm trying to keep them all going at the moment. They didn't all germinate and some got so leggy they fell over. To be honest I only have about twenty seedlings so can't afford to throw any away at the moment. Are your Cosmos strong and bushy ? @pelly

No Sue, they are very leggy. I put them in the greenhouse to try and slow them down a bit but I am not noticing much difference. I have potted a few of the bigger ones up now so I think it's just fingers crossed time. @susanhumphrey333 😯😯😯

I potted up some and buried them deeper as an experiment as I read this could be done. I thought this would cause them to rot but they seem ok 👍 @pally. Sorry to hijack your post Liz 😂
