Second year that my coffee tree produces cherries ( coffe beans)
This year I’m going to do some homework & try to harvest as much as possible to enjoy at least a cup of home grown coffee!!😊☺️😎💪🏼🦾
A coffee bean is a seed of the Coffea plant and the source for coffee. It is the pit inside the red or purple fruit often referred to as a cherry. ... The two most economically important varieties of coffee plant are the Arabica and the Robusta
@rudester1 Got them as seedlings gift from a friend my plant is about 4-5 years old I had two I lost one on a early frost ( live on Chicago suburb )this hardly made it. I trimmed & pruned to make a standard tree form. Last year got berries for first time. My advice is keep trying I don’t really feel it’s a hard plant to care for , I haven’t dealt with pests at all just a regular tropical care plant. Good luck.
@greywolfalvear I’m in roundlake and maybe it’s just improper care I’ve been giving them. I thought letting them dry in between waterings was ok but I see now it’s not the case. Thanks for the advice.

I never have any luck with this plant. I’m on my second attempt and it’s barely hanging on.
