I've been nurturing the four precious Hollyhocks that survived from those I sowed last March, and planted out last autumn. They were looking so strong and sturdy, and just ready to bud, I was so looking forward to it! Then I went out yesterday morning to tidy up after the overnight gales and rain to find they were casualties 😢 the 6 foot giants had been toppled. When I lifted them up i noticed that the first two flowers had opened ☺ I've tied them up now, fingers crossed!!
Discovered this lonely flower at the bottom of the garden today, what a trooper, after a week of frosts! #hollyhock
Beautiful flower! ☺️
