From Haugesund. With 3 children and a husband who's seemingly constantly away on business, I garden like it could save my life - and it probably does!

I kind of like it when things start to die back in autumn, because then these guys get to shine.

This one has had no protection, so I had to cut back quite a few blackened and damaged bits. What remains still looks pretty good, though.

Never too early @gjones. Here, I have hellebores in bloom more or less all year, they seem to have some sort of schedule going so that I'll always have something nice to look at. Very considerate!

Another soggy morning here, but I don't mind that much because it really brings out the green and the earthy, forest-like feeling that I love.

I just had a look through your most recent photos Laura, and it certainly looks like we have similar conditions right now. I seem to enjoy autumn more now that my garden has matured a bit. As the summer "fluff" dies down, it almost feels like spring as the underplantings come back into view.

That's really too bad @gjones. They are quite hardy, but probably less so than the white nigers. Here they do well as long as drainage is good.

@ShelleySnyder some of my white nigers have been at it for quite a while already, but this is the first of the hybrids. I live on the west coast of Norway, zone 1-2 I guess. Seems my garden is showing more signs of spring than usual this autumn. It has been a weird summer. Where are you located?

@pottybird42 I am torn. Part ready for Christmas yet definitely not ready for the cold, dark and wet months ahead. In this house, we officially start christmas music season on November 1st. Now THAT I am ready for 😁😁😁 , we have quite a selection!

They are among my absolute favourites @bananapassionfruit. Even when they aren't in flower, the foilage brings so much structure and lushness. I just can't get enough of them!
