First gigantic seed puff of the year
Mid Spring 2024

When I took yesterday's photo the flower was closed and clearly felt the storm coming on. We had thunder, lightning and a smattering of tornadoes 🌪 all night. Today everything is wide open again #cheerful

Glad you are safe Eileen. 👍

Oh, the tornadoes were 2.5 hours away from here @hkyfvr but my co-worker was rattled because his grandma was sitting 1/4 mile from where that FedEx warehouse was destroyed. He couldn't reach her by phone and was halfway there in his car at 3 am when his sister called to say she'd reached her and she was OK. Quite a night 😧

That must have been so scary for him. Glad his grandma was ok. Our daughter had her yard and gardens torn apart by a tornado a few years ago. She just lives 5 minutes from us. Massive devastation in a few minutes. 🙁

There is exactly one (1) salsify plant in the flowerbed at work every year. This time it sprouted up thru the center of a "Stella D'Oro" daylily -- or is that "Happy Returns"?

Fluffy is a #texture -- and so is feathery.

Gorgeous

This is easily 3x the size of a dandelion puff...

I love that the building I work in has these growing wild around it for no reason...

Pretty 😍 it is so sunny yellow
SOMEBODY PULLED THEM ALL OUT AND LEFT THEM LYING THERE. These decedents were left at the feet of the "Stella D'Oro" daylilies I dislike so much. Why so cruel? #crimescene
Disgraceful 🙁
Where is this? Is it a public space? 😳
Yes, at the bottom of the steps leading to the employee entrance at work @jacaranda -- but they.left the seedlings of the invasive barberries in situ 😡
