Hi can I have some advice on planting and maintaining flowers in my garden please? I buy some beautiful flowers and I water them mainly in the evenings about 3 times a week but they seem to die after a couple of weeks. What am I doing wrong?
Hi @daveandellie 👋🏻 Well there's lots to consider. You need to know your soil first and foremost. It could be that you are choosing the wrong plants for your type of soil. Then if they are newly planted and it's hot/dry, I would recommend watering every morning at the base. Also if it's cold at night & they haven't been hardened off they might be struggling. Ask as many questions as you need and post photos, so as many of us can help you get your garden looking fabulous 👍🏻🌱 #gardeningtips
Thankyou Ellen Mary. Our soil is very clay like and clumpy. Only thing is that I planted this plant in the soil it came in. I bought 2 and fed one with Homebase's plant food and it started deteriorating. The other one I didn't put any plant food in and it looks ok. Shall I cut the dead flowers off and hope that it grows again?
They are in hanging baskets. I've taken the dead flowers off and gave them another watering and they have perked up a bit. I'll give it over the weekend and I'll take another photo!

@daveandellie deadheading is important. Are they in containers or in the ground?

Water everyday, even if it rains (unless they get drenched)! @daveandellie baskets & containers needs a good water especially in dry weather 👍🏻
