I moved into my tiny Cottage in Dec' 15. Its like Christmas, waiting to see what 'unwraps' in the borders of the huge garden! I have 7 dogs & 2cats.
No leaves, its just 'there' the bobbly bit turn a vivid orange. Should I be worried? #plantID #alienlifeform? #green
I see these in the woods here Debs, not sure if good or bad ask @tiggrx , he's the one to ask 🤔
Yes I dont think they are 'garden plants Julie. They were hiding within the brambles when they were ripped out😕 the dogs aren't bothered with them, but if toxic i need to get rid.
They are the berries of Lords-and-ladies (Arum maculatum), a common wildflower. They are toxic if eaten.
Thanks @tiggrx . Will/have there been flowers or is the colour change as good as it gets?
It has an unusual greenish flower in spring. You can see some pictures here http://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/lords-and-ladies
Ahhh. Ta @tiggrx
