My RHS book says February is the ideal month to get bare root roses into the ground. The ground is now defrosted and it rained yesterday and I'm on holiday. Time to get my birthday presents in the ground then.
I'm creating a rose border as well this year. My partner said unwittingly 'Why don't you add more bushes so that Pudgy has places to hide in the garden?' Little did he know how little encouragement I need to buy more plants 🤣🤣🤣 I still haven't planted out the last SGC order because the ground was covered by snow. And I have 2 more orders coming later in the year 🤣🤣🤣
Me too Urszula as for me it will be my first full year with plants in the same garden, I'm nervously excited to see what starts to grow again @ublaszko
@pelly aww thank you Jane...it was a bit of a downer because it was James 6th birthday on 5th..mine on the 6th..and his other grandmas on the 7th and we usually all get together and celebrate, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer for that☹️ but I got some nice presents 👍🏼

Something to look forward to in the summer. I love roses 💕
Me too Angela, looks like the front garden is going to be a rose garden from now on. @italydiva
That’s gorgeous too it’s like my Ferdinanad Pichard 🌹
So it is, hopefully it will be as beautiful Elaine @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Fabulous Urszula I can't wait to see your new garden this summer @ublaszko
I'm super excited about this summer. So many new plants that I haven't grown before. I'm looking forward to new dark-leaved dahlias.

This one looks like a beauty!
And a whopper @lesliecole49
@DeborahBanks , do you know they have a Banks rose? It’s a gorgeous thornless yellow climber, just saying, it’s kind of fitting.
