My front yard bakes in the sun, & we're on top of sand. Hope these can provide a micro environment/ shade. Everything I've ever planted in this area has never lived longer than about 2 years

I have one too. Mine has flowers that are burgundy colored and foliage looks a little different. Yours looks nice and healthy. Lovely.
