My bf bought me this crassula "springtime" yesterday and I noticed these white specks. I tried washing them of with soapy water but they didn't budge. I even used my nail to try to scrape them if with no luck. Is this just normal texture of this type of plant?

These are minerals or salt from watering the plant usually with tap water.

Water with rain water or distilled water. New growth shouldn't have it.
