Is this a spruce pine tree?

@cilla123 It’s kind of hard to tell but here is one way to remember. A fir is called a friendly fir. Smooth to the touch. Not so with spruce. Spruce has very sharp needles. Pines mostly long needles. If this is a conifer tree I’d guess a fir. Also there are many different kinds of fir trees. What part of the country is it growing might help you to determine if it is a wild tree. Hope this helps you. Tom
