Trying my hand at #sweetpea #hybridisation today. Hoping I will be able to breed a lovely new variety for next year 🌸

Although weak, my second lot of sweet peas are in today. I have dug up the bulbs that were here previously, and stored them boxes with shredded newspaper. Next spring I hope to have a small grassy tulip meadow here.

All great ideas 😊😊 My sweet pea seedlings look a bit weak too but a couple of them have picked up since I planted them in the ground.

Sweet peas germinated within a week! 95% germination success so far!
