Such an unappreciated plant. We have several natives that grow around large evergreens. I'd forgotten the name. Nice to see yours.

This plant brings back happy childhood memories for me. Walking home from school with my best friend we would pop the berries under foot. They make a good sound!

Oh @Patiorose I might have to try that 😏 @columbiariver we cleared a huge area of brambles in the garden and found a clump of these and they are indestructible! So thought they deserved to stay!
