#gyo #basil #herbs #pots #wednesdaychallenge I have struggled to grow basil from seed but I keep sowing and I get rewarded by one or two germinating every sowing! 🌱🌱

I can grow ample coriander but basil is always a disaster so will try @linfoster advice. But can I ask a stupid question - how do you warm the soil ?? I guess not in the oven!!!!!

Oh @charlotte that made me giggle! I'm assuming not straight from a cold compost bag from outside but to pot up and warm in a sunny window sill or greenhouse before sowing.. 🤔it's so difficult to know isn't it as some seeds need to be in the fridge for while before sowing, some need soaking- thank goodness for @linfoster a wealth of knowledge!

@Charlotte keep a pot of soil near a radiator for a couple of days then moisten the soil but dont over wet it . Basil hates being wet and only water when the leaves begin to wilt
