This guys roots are growing crazy fast! I think I'll give him another week and move him into his own pot and see how he does then
Amazing!

We have some more growth overnight :)
Nice experiment.. if you were given it, it might bring good fortune when its away.. if not, pass it on.👍🏻
@lostgardener I bought it and have had it for a few months but I'm hoping to maybe give some babies produced away :)

Took this leaf from my Hummel's sunset jade a few weeks ago and I was messing around and trying out new things and thought I would chuck it in a small jar of water and now I think there's roots growing? If there is I'm quite happy about it! :) #succulent #jadeplant
Wow wouldn't have expect this to work 😳 Great! Keep us updated please 🙂
@natii neither did I! Never seen anything like it and I'm really surprised that it's started to root. I think after another few weeks I'll plant it in some soil and see how it does then :)

This is carol! :)
Potting time 🌱
Out of curiosity, did you propagate this leaf in water? The roots look quite fine compared to the roots you get propagating on compost. You may want to mist it regularly so that it doesn't go into shock.
Hi @Soph1e, yes I did propagate this in water. Was a little experiment and I have some of the stages up in previous posts. I found that the roots developed alot quicker against leaves in soil aswell. I do mist it every 1-2 days but I don't know if it should be more often but if you have any tips I'm happy to hear :)
That should be plenty. Once it's used to being out of water, you can start to reduce how often you mist it as the parent leaf will be able to give the new growth all the sustenance it needs.
Ah thank you! :) @Soph1e
