Cynanchum Viminale subsp. Stipitaceum

I finally found the right hanging pot for this guy! It's crappy raw plaster, so idk how long it'll last, but it's an upgrade over the nasty, deteriorating plastic one it came in. I painted the inside with some turquoise latex paint to waterproof it, to hopefully help prevent staining and prolong longevity. 🤞

Interesting plant very different. Looks great in that pot too👍

@crabby58 thanks! I bought it thinking it was something totally different (it was mis-ID'd), until it bloomed. 😂 I'm not sure what it's going to look like as it grows!

@sunlovin thanks! I like the subtle bit of color. I went back to the same store yesterday to get a couple more of these pots so I could paint the insides different colors, and they were aaaall gone! 😖

I bought it at a plant sale last fall labeled as Rhipsalis baccifera, and I never questioned it until it bloomed today. The flowers look totally different from any rhipsalis flowers I could find! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thx, peeps! 😘

My plant friend figured it out for me as well yesterday, but I haven't had a minute to update about it til now. 😅 Turns out I haven't been giving it nearly enough sun bc I've been treating it like a Rhip! Probably explains why it suddenly bloomed the instant I hung it in a sunnier spot. 😆
