This was taken before today's heavy rain & wind too...

Kudos for growing an ensetti. What a plant! 👍👍

Boy that looks like it's huge! Love those leaves!

😂 Thanks Tom. GT: Strava for gardeners! @tomday8

Me too. Just not sure they will still look like that 🙈. It's in the most sheltered position I have... @gjones

Looks 👍

Thanks Julie. It seems to have survived unscathed - apart from sitting in a tray full of water. Oops! @juliesgarden
8 Jun 2018 • It may not be as big as our original that we lost in the unheated heated greenhouse incident but it’s rather lovely 🖤💚🖤
Lovely pattern on underside of the leaf looks as if it is wearing tartan. 🐝
Fab specimen...💚👌🏼
I hadn’t made the comparison 🏴 but I will now 🏴 😂
I’m really pleased with it Elaine. I was so sad when I realised our old one wasn’t going to recover 😢 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Beautiful leaf markings Jacqueline 😍😍
I’ve just seen Monty’s and am feeling a bit inadequate 😉😂 @pelly
Fabulous. I meant to get one of these this year, but now maybe next year? 🍌
It’s not too late Jeff. I just had an email from RHS plants to tell me they were back in stock... I had bought this replacement elsewhere in the mean time. It will reward you no end - as long as you don’t inadvertently put it in an unheated greenhouse when it’s freezing outside 😱 @jeatacake
Well Jacqueline, I did have 3 small Abyssinian bananas grown from seed. I kept 2 in the house over winter & risked one in my unheated greenhouse over winter. That one died, but the other 2 are OK, so I may put one outside now like you have done & go for one like yours next year 👍
Well done! Our Abyssinian banana flowered last year. Really whacky. And it survived the unheated heated greenhouse incident thankfully. I’ve just divided it and it’s looking great
