Hippeastrum 'Sameas' (?). Today's garden surprise. I stuck this bulb in my 'bits' urn, not knowing if it was one of the Hippeastrum I planted in an area I did not know gets boggy from water runoff and needed to be moved as it would rot, or if it was a Spider Lily that could go in the bin. I found the label nearby to give me Hippy hope. The bulb confused me by retaining some leaves all year. Now this bud confirms a Hippy and a few more days will reveal if it is my beautiful Sameas.
