#eucomis #pineapple lily mixed. This was a mixed selection of 10 bulbs bought from BH for £2.98 I am pleased they have 7 different varieties. There's 3 of the top left one but the rest are all different. Looks like they are all going to flower. Unfortunately the slugs have been brutal on their beautiful marked leaves. The irony is that my other 2 lots which have been in the ground for years are brilliant not a slug hole on them but next year, hopefully, once they are in the ground they will flourish
Thanks @Keely We're getting back to normal but I still cannot get out of the routine of going to the corner to feed the goldies. It takes a lot to put me down but I think it was the sudden shock and no real visible reason. Lot's of support like yours on GTers helped immensely. 😀
@latebloomer Yes Debs I was very pleased with the outcome. Sometimes when you get a bargain buy of so called mixed they're all the same common type with a couple of odd ones but this mix was really good. I put them in pots to see how they developed but big mistake. Sitting target for this year's biggest pest the slug. They've ruined the leaves but have high hopes for next year. Unfortunately I cannot give you a name for your fav. Might have to do some research first. 😀😘
Its very sad hope you are able to get some more to hear that trickle of water again and continue yr feed n walk I know they wont be same as you will have watched their personality, it happened suddenly so they didn't suffer which is a good thing x take care x
Yes Debs will put them in the ground eventually.Wish I had done this season but really wanted to give them best chance&find out what was there.I'm fighting a losing battle with the bugs.Reluctant to go for chemical cosh as never have & keep thinking this is an exceptional year. I have a sneaky feeling climate change has now given UK very mild wet winters. The garden pest population has exploded & will for the forseeable future. Of course you can screen grab any of my posts at anytime.😀😘
