Here's the recipe for Pears in Red Wine, done in the slow cooker. Really easy! @saco Let me know what you think if you make it 😀🍷🍐 #recipe

Apparently it's great because pears are rich in soluble fibre which helps control blood sugar & cholesterol levels. It's a low calorie pudding with almost a third of your day's fibre per serving. So it says at the end of the recipe. 😃👍@midnightgardener @saco @jmlincoln @churchfarmgarden 🍷🍐

By any change are these called “winter pears”? Mine are hard as rocks also, gramma said they stay hard inthe root cellar during the fall and ripen to eat in the winter as fresh pears, and it’s true, I’ve tried it,

Morning Wayne 😊 The pear tree has done ok this year - only been in the ground about 3 years. Same with the apple tree but we got quite a lot of apples this time. The plum tree went in early this year so we've only had 1 plum off it - tasted lovely though! My lemon tree has 3 tiny lemons on it at the moment- we've probably had about 10 lemons from it over the last few years. Good luck with yours 🍋🍎🍐

They might rot or the wasps might claim them. Monty picked his off the tree and said put them on the windowsill to ripen. I thought I would do the same as they're quite hard yet. @sharonhayden
