@bch208 I just started feeding to try and get flowers for Christmas, I read to give it a rest through the summer and start in the fall to feed for flowers??

Allisons50 I have two throwing spikes already. The key is to put them a 10 degree drop in temperature every night till you see the spike forming. I don’t cold lol so what did was I put those that I want to bloom in my daughter’s old room by a window and at night I open the window so the temperature can drop. As long as it doesn’t go below 50 they will be fine. Day temp around 70 and night temperature around 60 will make them spike. Fertilize every other week.

@alisons50 and yes unless they are huge orchids after they bloom they need a rest period then in fall you do the cold thing lol https://www.facebook.com/groups/971064523078328/?ref=share

I read that, so in our sun room there is heat, but it’s not on yet, it gets cold at night and warm in day, I haven’t seen spikes yet, but just started to feed thinking I should hit Christmas?? @bch208 .
