my nephew is playing with these bull figurines from our trip to peru, he makes it climb on top of my potted plant in make believe—so cute! 😍

Another plant with zero issues so far and I am hoping it stays that way. The other marantas and calatheas I’ve had were all leaf edge curlers and burners so I’m not sure what I did to still deserve this consistently healthy looking fella!

Filtered indirect sun, humidifier and indoor environment. Just watered it again and it looks to be doing much better with less curly leaves.

I recommend deep soaking pots on a regular basis. Put them in a bucket or sink and cover with water (above their rims). Leave in till the air bubbles have stopped rising to the surface. Could be minutes or longer depending how dry the growing medium is. I’ll sometimes add a liquid fertiliser to the water before starting.

@brightcolours thanks ill try that! i was told that once it curls it is unlikely to unfurl again. its not looking so good lately esp in our very hot weather, so im keeping it away from the heat and bright light. 😣

I’d prune the worst ones off so it directs its energy into new growth.

I think it's a #calathea. Maybe calathea 'makoyana'
