Less than a year ago, I purchased a Purple Basil plant. It grew tall and healthy for a few months. Then is flowered, which apparently you should not let your basil do. Soon after it flowered I could not figure out how to take care of it and then after months of struggling and pruning, it died. It has been trying to grow back ever since. I am going to relocate these babies to their own pot so that I can nurture them better.

Pinch out basil flower heads so they get bushier then near end of growung season let them flower and set seeds so you can grow more the next season.
