This #dahlia has been flowering its socks off since May. Its a nice compact plant that doesn't grow very big #dahlia-hypnotica-bronze-bicolour

Very pretty!💘😍

So pretty. 💛

All my dahlias have survived winter in the ground. This is the first one to flower 💛❤💛 #dahlia-hypnotica-bronze-bicolour

Wow so lucky Julie 💘💛💘

No real protection either @keely I wasn't expecting them to come back as they were bought as bedding dahlias. The bishops children I sowed from seed last year and grew well are also back and I thought they were half hardy annuals 😮😮😮 will post a photo

The bedding ones do produce tubers so should come back but yours have come back with avengeance which is brilliant 👌😄 mine are taking over on patio and I split tubers and haven't nipped them out this year nearly all in bud so chuffed only lost one over Winter and shared with mum so cut back on how many I had last year 😄

No nipping out here either. I am amazed by what has survived the beast @keely

Goes to show you've improved your soil and mulched well, mine have survived outside before but I have to dig them out to put Spring plants in to have continual flowers over seasons due to small borders the bigger the tubers get the more chance they have to survive we forget just how warm the soil is below mulch and snow 😄

Some of mine did too chick. I was too ill to lift them over winter so I just assumed I’d lose them all but I haven’t. That’s a gorgeous colour 🧡💛

Will save us shopping for fillers @lexijane 😉

Oh I wouldn’t go that far babes 😂😂😂

I am full to bursting @lexijane Much more survived than I expected then I overdid it with seeds and been giving stuff away 😂😂😂

Found these #dahlia at a farm shop on the way back from the garden centre. £2.50 each... couldn't help myself 😂😂😂

Great hot colours 👌😆

They had reds, pinks and a pale orange too but I bought 3 of these @Keely

👌📸👌

Stunning Julie @vec they are going to pack a punch in your garden 😍👌😘

Must admit I'm a little bit in love with this colour 💛❤ @jadojado29
Morning all, it's a tad chilly out here #dahlia #frosted
Morning Julie, oh dear 😢❄️
Morning Jane, good job I took out all my really tenders over the weekend. Going to do a few cannas when I get back from work @pelly
Agggh .... looks beautiful though 🧡🧡
Morning again 😂 Brrrrrrr 🥶 Bestie @vec think I’ll stay close to the radiator 😘
I got my little few in yesterday. What do I need to do with my Cannas Julie, do I leave them as they are? 🤔🤔
Just beautiful 👌
Yes you can leave them be if they're sheltered. I cut them down if they go black as they'll turn to mush if they get hit badly by frost @pelly
Thanks Julie, I forgot to ask about watering, do they need it through the winter? 🤔🤔
Great photo Julie!💘😍
I only give a drop if they're bone dry and drooping @pelly
How amazing ❄️ 😍
