Possibly a catalpa. Don't know if they grow that far north

In the summer, many catalpa get these big ugly worms called catalpa worms, the are the absolute best blue gill bait

@janelleabella I couldn't find your pics but I'll bet they are gorgeous. @jennlamaye I wish this tree was mine just for the flowers but it sounds like it would be a lot of work cutting or raking up pods.
