Such a big flower from a small cactus. Fragrant too. Blooming now. #lasvegas #echinopsis #echinopsissubdenudata #echinopsissubdenudataflower #cactus #dominocactus #easterlilyflower #cactilove #cacticollector #floweringcacti #novemberflower #desertplant #sunlovindesertgarden
@beatnikcrab Thanks! This one gets sun until about 1:00, so it’s not frying in sun all day. I got lucky and found a happy spot for it. It had more buds, but they fell off. I don’t know why.
Strange.. 🤔 Maybe it caught too much of a chill? Idk what's going on in Vegas, but here in Phx the weather has been a real rollercoaster, so it wouldn't surprise me if the plants were confused. 🤦🏻♀️
@beatnikcrab Yeah, crazy weather here too. But they kinda fell off before that. They would start with a bud, grow about 1/2 inch, sit there awhile, and then I would find it on the ground. I haven’t been around cacti out here that long to figure out why they do that. Some start to bud but stop altogether. Maybe something knocks them off? They are subject to whatever insects or wildlife I have in the garden although I might not see them. It’s walled in so it’s not something big like a rabbit.
Hmmm, very strange. 🤨 I can't recall ever seeing any of my cacti do that, except during times of stress, like when I first buy them, or immediately following transplant. 🤷🏻♀️

Ooh awe, I like that one. 🤩
Pretty 💕
Beautiful!! Yours look so happy in the ground! 😍 I wouldn't have thought they'd do alright with full exposure, being so naked. 😬
