This one just got a haircut. Yikes. Probably could have cut back shorter than I did. But I'm a bit uneasy even doing this much .. Hopefully she will bounce back. #flybush #cuttingback #haircut #march2019 #hopeful #plectranthus-neochilus #plectranthusneochilus #plectranthus #neochilus

Just spotted the new buds. One on left and one on the right. Trying to keep my mind off the sadness/heartache here in Southern California by staying busy . #flybush #newbuds #newgrowth #succulentgarden #southerncalifornia #busy #plectranthus-neochilus #plectranthus #plectranthusneochilus

10/23/18. Approx. 61 degrees. Playing with the plants at night. Fun watching this one bloom. Footnote... No Idea how this photo ended up with Complete black background. I used my flash And there was bright lights to the left of me. Maybe ?? They cancelled each other out ?? #night #nightphoto #nightgardening #nightphotography #purpleflower #purpleblooms #succulentflower #flybush #stinkyplant #flash #phonecamera #nofilters #plectranthusneochilus #claypots #terracottapots

The bud is turning purple. Progress !! This is a a plant I almost gave up on, which I rarely do but I was discouraged with whatever bug was eating it. And Bam ! Here we are with a flower almost ready to open. #purpleblooms #blossom #flybush #dontgiveup #excited #southerncalifornia #southerncaliforniagardening #plectranthus-neochilus #plectranthus #plectranthusneochilus. #claypots #terracottapots 10/19/18

I have to say this: neem oil is & certainly can be as dangerous as any “plant-friendly” insecticide. Every label will read “hazardous...” Just because it (anything) is derived from a plant, it can NEVER be treated or used without proper care &caution. I know it is one of the best, for lots of reasons... derived from a flower, it may seem harmless as it is natural. But, uranium is also natural, and I really rather it not be near me! No disrespect to anyone, I just want to share some knowledge.

Can be removed. Not part of foliage

DonNotDonny

My default would be to say that it's dirt or debris if it's not moving around.

1w
comment
DonNotDonny

@KelsiBriana Yeah but if that were the case they'd most likely have been laid underneath the leaves instead of on top.

I was thinking maybe pardon me...but "poop" from an insect or eggs.

I use a make up brush to remove anything from my plants that I don’t want on there. It works a treat, I also use it to fix disturbed farina on plants. It’s soaked in water with a bit of pesticide between uses to avoid pests being transferred.

Thanks for tips @Yollymac I am using an old toothbrush right now but it's an adultone. Might be better to use a child sized one to get in between leaves.

It sounds like I am late to this discussion. Are there any holes in leaves? That is a sign of a caterpillar, and that it could be droppings. Look under the leaves for the pest if there is.
