Clematis armandii 'Apple Blossom'

#clematis #appleblossom I know it's a pityful sight but my oh my it got two little blooms! And all the stubs are starting to get new growth, woohoo!!!

What happened to it? Mine has gotten too big for it's britches. Bob cut half away but I still have to move it. I have yet to have it in full bloom and in a good spot 🙁😉💗

@columbiariver it was loaded with like a bazillion buds and then February arrived and just burnt the crap out of it and we had to cut it back to about 2ft. Tall and leafless!😳😠🥴💘😍

#clematis #appleblossom top pic was taken in January, looked beautiful and bushy and a zillion buds on it! Bottom pic was taken today, leaves were turning brown and falling off, buds were turning brown and falling off, after the killer February so we cut it back and are hoping for the best!

@kez001uk did you see how much it grew!?😳 My oh my it was a lot! Only about half the buds or less even bloomed last year, which didn't surprise me cuz I figured it would go into shock and not bloom as heavy as the buds indicated it would, boy it's got them now!!💘😍

Oh this looks healthy! Mine seems to have gone brown and died over the last few weeks unfortunately. I'm leaving it alone for now to see if it can be rescued with a good haircut and a new home when the weather warms up a little

@Mikekally hopefully a hair cut willperk it back up and it will be ok! Mine is new and was just planted about a month ago but some of the buds aren't looking so good, we'll see!🤞🤞👍💘😍

They are such healthy plants. They should do ok with the cold. Mine has blooms, ready to open from our warm spell. Ugh, might be kind of soggy and not pretty

#clematiscollage Woohoo!! We got miss Apple blossom planted! I didn't think we would till maybe next month, but the weather cooperated and the honeysuckles came out easy so everything else went easy peasy! Yahoo now I get to see her bloom on my arbor!
