Iris reticulata 'Darkness'

Thank you 🙏🏼 for your patience tonight folks while I posted all these plant updates and cataloguing, if I didn’t do it now I think sadly I would just forget them and never post them. Hope I didn’t bore anyone 🥱

This is my last one tonight, and it is a bit of a surprise. This is a single stray bulb that appeared within another batch that was also not labelled correctly. I’m still trying to work out the other one (which is blue and turquoise) but then this one randomly opened today. It is big, about one and half times bigger than all the others, and it’s very skinny. You’d think it was maybe 'Pauline' but it’s so skinny and it’s very dark on the falls - virtually black!

I checked the Jacque Amand website and they don’t even sell Pauline, but they do sell a new one called 'Darkness' - which coincidently is also very skinny - so I’ve concluded I might have been lucky enough to get one accidentally in my original order. 😍💜🖤 #iris #irisreticulata #iris-reticulata #irisreticulatadarkness

I find this app just so useful for cataloguing everything Richard, it's so easy to lose track of everything otherwise, especially if you lose the labels as I often do 😐
