08/05/19 - do you ever get that situation where you have a plant and you can’t remember at all how or where you got it from? I think.... I may have got this from a garden club swap but who knows. It’s Dianella, but quite unusual as a) it’s variegated, and b) it has this very attractive red flush at the base of the leaves. I can’t seem to find any info on a variegated version available in uk with this same red flush, only a non- variegated one called 'Tasred' - anyone familiar with Dianella?

As far as I know the cultivar 'Variegata' does not have this red flush #dianella #flaxlily

I have a Dianella Tas Red that I planted 3 years ago. It's never flowered but is sending up loads of new shoots (like stolons) around it so I've given it another chance. It's rather boring so far though, yours is much nicer!

@tash74 here’s the other one, looks very similar I’ll give you that, but when you look down on the leaves, they emerge quite differently, and the other one seems to have this triangular like stem, very strange
