These are English ones Elaine...see what I mean that the flowers are much narrower and tubular? Not so open... @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom Also they were discussing the weather and eating fish and chips so it’s a sure sign 😉

Deborah, apparently 1 in 6 Bluebells in our woodland is now a Spanish one. They multiply and spread much faster than the native ones and are also hybridising with the native ones. It is forbidden to pick them from the wild to try to preserve them. I think we are probably fighting a losing battle...I expect they will go in the end like our red squirrels 😏 @latebloomer

Oh I've not tried from seed Julie...these were bulbs (corms..? Rhizomes..? 🤔) I planted them last Autumn so I'm really pleased they've appeared. I wonder if they take longer from seed? @joolzd1970
