Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine ☀️freedom 👩🏻‍🌾 and a little flower 🌸

Was still covered in leaves at the beginning of the week, but I don’t mind this one losing them so quickly, ‘cause then it means I can see the fiery #red stems ❤️ Have a cosy evening flowers 🌸 #dogwood #cornus

I love it Jayney, definitely one of my all time faves. The biggest I’ve let this get is 7’ ish, but you are s’posed to cut it back every February anyway to encourage the red stems (I do it every 2-3 years to be honest) so it’s easy to keep under control. Didn’t even know there was a dwarf one Jase!! @jaynehynesburton @Jasonsparkes1

What...like a sunburnt twig? 😉 ooh just remembered I got a yeller one last year, it’s behind this. Didn’t notice it when I took the pic, I’ll have to check on it in the morning! Sorry...random thought there. (You’re used to them! 😉🤣😘) @clipperty

I thought you would like strawberry laces....I love them....the only way to eat them is to put as many in your mouth as you can at the same time then try and chew them...🤤😋

Cornus positively glowing in the little bit of sunshine I get in my garden at this time of year ☀️What a good spot to plant it...almost like I’d planned it! 🤔😉 #cornus #dogwood #winterstems

Well as it’s always sunny in Cumbria 😜 you should have no trouble placing them in the sunshine! But they are a fab plant and look amazing with either silver birches and/or snowdrops 👍🏼 @cotehow

One of my all time favourites, fresh green and white in the summer and red hot stems in the winter. Win win! 💚❤️ #variegated #dogwood #favourite

Had this many moons ago. Red stems brighten up the winter days as do the yellow stemmed dogwood ❤💛❤💛

I do Rachel. Your encouragement has prompted me to make it happen. I'll have a display in the woods, but visible from the house. I've got 3 types now, but have propagated several of the osiers to go with the snowdrops I'm ordering soon. I think it will bring me to 10 or 12 in one area! So stoked about it. All thanks to your ideas. It became a vision to me.

The flowers on this dogwood are quite often not mentioned at all or called insignificant, but I think they're very pretty - if you take the time to look 😊
