A very happy clematis, Rachel 😊👍 can I ask what kind of feed you use? Wish mine had more blooms, I do feed them in the spring according to the instructions, maybe it's because my clematis are quite young.
Thanks Elisa, this one is probably about 4 years old and I just use general purpose plant food, except for the last couple of months I have used tomato feed. I also pruned it properly this year (rather than my normal hack it and Hope method!) so I don't know if that's made the difference..? 🤔 @riakat I think they can take a couple of years to really get going 👍🏼
Didn't have a clue Sue, so I've just done a head count...now up to 17!! 😬no wait, forgot the one in the front...so 18! I'll have to count my roses now, always think I have more of them than anything else 🤔 @susanhumphrey333
You will be! 👍🏼💜 I don't in this house (must fix that!) but you remember when we were discussing putting them in pots? I had two evergreen ones in a pot outside my back door...the Cirrhosa Freckles that Julie has and an Armandii...pretty white flowers which smelled like almonds! And i had to cut them right back when we had the decking done and didn't think they'd recover but they came back brilliantly 🤗 just remember to keep the base shaded/covered 👍🏼☺️ @susanhumphrey333
