Morning everyone. I was doing a bit of tidying up in the garden yesterday and I found these peony shoots. I’m really worried that they will be killed when we get frosty mornings 😱. I guess I’d better invest in some horticultural fleece #peony-sorbet

A bit of compost or soil should be fine, they are quite hardy Jane. There’s some shoots on mine too

Morning Jane. Loads of shoots coming up, my Irises that I potted up are already 2 inches through the soil! Gardening seems to be changing perhaps we will have to approach plants in a different way🤔

I would put some of the frost protection blanket over them and leaves on top of the blanket.

This Peony was planted as a bare root the first week in April this year and it appears to have a bud, I can hardly believe it, surely it shouldn’t flower for a couple of years yet? 🤔🤔

Both my new bare root Peonies are showing #signsoflife . I wasn’t sure if they would as they were a long time getting planted due to the awful weather at the time 💕🌸

Jane, I planted mine weeks after I bought it due to bad weather and I still have one more to go. It's now sprouted inside the bag 😂😂
