Well it looks like there no exploding flowers on my foxgloves this year. Such a shame as they were beautiful 💞 #common-foxglove #digitalis-purpurea

I’ve never had these but I’ve just sown some seeds this afternoon white and peach….I hope they don’t explode 🤯

😂🤣😂 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

This year of all years you would expect exploding Foxgloves😊

Very pretty!

That's what I thought 😂 @Auricula

Still beautiful 😍 really thought the seeds would make more of the same 🤔

Exploding? I must have missed that post!

Me too Kerry. The article I read about peloric flowers seemed to think they should 🤔 @kez001uk

If you swipe left through a few photos you’ll see what I meant Leslie 👍 @lesliecole49

@pelly nothing seems to be happening how it should this year 🤪

Seems rather pale this year 🤔💗 #common-foxglove #digitalispurpurea

I like it, I wonder if you'll have those exploding ones again?! 😃💜

Is quite different looking back through the photos 🤔

The seeds were from the exploding ones and an article I read from Kew Gardens seemed to think that it should happen. The flowers aren't too far from the top so I should find out soon 🤔 @anges

That'll be interesting 😃

It is isn't it 🤔 @kez001uk

Lovely 🥰 I must be the only person who has killed a foxglove…🤭

Thanks Elaine. It's good to be different 🙄😂 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

@pelly it exhausted itself growing those fancy flowers last year 😛

I’m still getting peloric flowers on this foxglove. It’s put out so many smaller new shoots #foxglove #common-foxglove #peloric-flower

Stupid question alert - what's a peloric flower 🤔

I spotted your deliberate mistake 😉💜💗

https://www.kew.org/read-and-watch/weird-and-wonderful-foxgloves this explains it better than I could Charlotte 👍 @charlotte

😂😂😂 I don’t even have hollyhocks in my garden. Thanks Ange @anges 👍

Gosh that's interesting. You are growing a monster !! I learn so much from you Jane 🙂

It is isn't it. I've saved some seeds too and it says the resultant plants should be the same. That's lovely of you to say but most of my knowledge comes from Google, I'm a Google addict 🙄😂😂 @charlottejhurst

Goodness ! Mine stopped flowering months ago ! You're lucky 😃

All my others did but this one seems unstoppable, I'm assuming it's something to do with being a mutant. It's not a pretty plant at the moment though but I want the seeds 😊 @london148

Pleasure 😃

@pelly. I hope not, thanks love. Had a good day today feeding plants and beans. I love to see them spruce up after. I have started using Richard Jackson feed on qvc. And it's organic. It's really good. 👌👍

I've been feeding all mine this afternoon too. I use Tomorite but I'll have a look at the Richard Jackson one, I like the sound of it being organic 😊 @gwenniemom

Morning everyone, my #bestofjune has to be the peloric flowers I got on this foxglove. After the original spike it had four more, each with the same, this is the last one. Have a wonderful day 💗 #common-foxglove #peloric-flower #pink

Morning Jane..fabulous 💜🌸

Morning again Julie, thank you 💞 @juliesgarden

Morning Elise, yes it did didn’t it. I’ve done some reading on it since and it would seem that the seeds from this will produce the same phenomenon next year 💗 @auricula

Morning again Jane 🙋♂️ I had to look up "peloric" good word for a Sunday 😁 @pelly

It wasn’t a word I knew anything about until this happened, it’s been interesting watching each spike producing a new peloric flower 🌸 @jpea

Morning Jane good choice.....💕

Morning Jane, I was about to ask if it would happen again if you used the seeds from this one. 💜💖

Super photo 💓💜💓

Morning Elaine, thank you 💖 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

https://www.kew.org/read-and-watch/weird-and-wonderful-foxgloves This is what I found Ange 👍 @anges

Thanks Sue 🌸 @suerichards

Morning 🙋♀️ the foxgloves in my garden just have to be be the best plants for #pollinators Have a super Saturday everyone #common-foxglove #beemagnet #pink

They’re so pretty as well aren’t they. I had a white one which I loved which reminds me, I haven’t seen it 🤣 lovely little #droplets and #raindrops too. Have a good day 👋🏼

They are works of art Justin, I hope you find your white one. Enjoy your day too 😍 @justin

Morning Jane. Wish I had more of these ....brilliant plants all round. Enjoy your day 👋😃🐝🦋

Morning Jane 🙋♂️ these like sunless but bright areas I understand so I must sow some seeds for next year @pelly

Morning Elise, yes definitely good shelter for them the last few days ☔️🐝 @auricula

Morning Pauline, they are aren’t they, I’m hoping to have more next year. Thanks and enjoy yours too 😍 @flof1952

Morning Jane...💜🐝

Morning Jane 💕💕 It helps that they look wonderful too 💓

Morning Jeremy, that’s if you go by the book. I have some in a shadier part of the garden and some that get the sun most of the day and they’re all doing well 🤔 👍😍 @jpea

Morning Elaine 🙋♀️, thank you 🙏🐝 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Morning Rula 🙋♀️ it most definitely does 💗🐝 @sabbanrula

Just been for a garden mooch in between showers and was amazed to see the foxglove with the peloric flower now has three more spikes, each with another one opening. The original is bottom right #foxglove #peloric-flower #amazed #isnt-mother-nature-amazing

Lovely 💜

Caught a glimpse of the infamous foxglove on your garden video. Fascinating creation.💜🤍

Thanks Rula 💜 @sabbanrula

They're facinating Mark, I'm so glad the new stems are doing the same 😍 @solly1961

That is one of the most interesting and beautiful foxgloves I've seen.

Fascinating isn’t it Katy 😍 @gjones

Morning Jane. Amazing ....I've never seen one do that 👋😯

Morning Jason, apparently it's quite common in foxgloves although I've never seen it before 👍😊 @Jasonsparkes1

Ange @anges posted one she found on Twitter and a few days later I found this on one of mine, it really is amazing 😊 @flof1952

Morning Jane ..blimey there’s a lot going on there ..beautiful!😍

Oh yes the exploding foxglove is pretty cool! Love all the colours 💛💗

@anges look what’s happened to one of my foxgloves, it exploded like the one you posted a picture of 😍

Wow! Isn't that a coincidence! I've never seen one before and 2 have come along at once 😄🚍🚍 💜💕💚

🤔🤔🤔 is that supposed to happen.

I was just checking my plants for wind damage and nearly missed it, thank goodness I did a double take Ange. Aren't they beautiful 💛💖💛 @anges

I haven't got a clue, I've never seen it happen before 🤔 @charlotte

Yes, they are 💕 I wonder how common/uncommon an occurrence it is? 🤔

I don't know but I'll be checking mine out regularly from now on 🤔 @anges

Me too 😄

Gorgeous isn't it Elise 💛💖💛 @auricula

https://www.kew.org/read-and-watch/weird-and-wonderful-foxgloves This is worth a read Jane 🙂💜

I saw Anges one. Just read the post she put above. It's so weird, but fascinating 👍

Amazing Jane, very interesting @anges good link

Cataloguing. This must have been a gift from a bird as I've never grown them. Much as I love them I have always worried about Emily as she loves touching plants, so I've explained to her that they could make her poorly so hopefully I won't have to dig it up 🌼🌼 #foxglove #digitalis #giftfromabird #freebie 6/6/19

Beautiful 😍

Thanks Jyoty @jyotu 💗💗

Welcome

I’ve had a few gifts but never a Foxglove of any colour Elise @auricula 🤔🤔
I’ve buds on all the foxgloves now. I will soon have a lovely colourful corner 💗 #common-foxglove
I wonder if you'll have those exploding ones again? Can't remember the correct term! 🤔
I didn't get any last year but it would be lovely to have one again. These are all from the same stock so fingers crossed 🤞 @anges
Hi Jane they will look great when they open 😁 @pelly
Morning Jane, mine are nowhere near that stage, bring on the exploding ones☺️
Morning Karen, I hope so. I was going to thin them out a bit but I changed my mind 💗 @KOutdoors
Morning Elise, they have come on really quickly and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some explosions 🤞 @Auricula
I seem to have loads in my garden this year. Will be interesting to see them bloom, although I’m not sure if it’s the first year for certain ones so they may not bloom
Fingers crossed Angela 🤞 @italydiva
