Astilbe

Morning everyone. I have flower buds on my astilbe, another plant that has benefited from a move last autumn. Am I finally getting the hang of this gardening malarkey? 😂🌸 #astilbe-pink #false-spiraea

They all turn green as they mature unfortunately. This was only named Astilbe, I'm hoping it's going to be the pink one 💖 @kez001uk

This tiny Astilbe is a real fighter. It was planted last year and got totally smothered by other plants, (bad plant mum) so I put it in a pot where it rallied for a while then appeared to have died. I just left the pot in a sheltered position over winter and lo and behold it's back. #astilbe #fighter #eureka-moment #backfromthedead 4/4/19

All 4 of mine are coming back. I was quite surprised because like you, I thought they'd died. They may not be in the best location, too much sun maybe. I'll watch them this year and may have to move them

Have put wrong name on this Jane?

I put Astilbe in and this is what came up Chris, can I ask why you think it's wrong? 🤔🤔

The false spiraea I have is nothing like my astilbe but I may be having another senior moment ( they're quite regular now ) 😂

It's this app that came up with the name when I was cataloguing, so I've just checked on Google ands Astilbe is also known as False Spirea Chris. Thanks for making sure I got it right @christineb 😊😊

I’ve just bought one of these just a bag of dirt with a bit of shrivelled root at present 😂
