Kind of disappointed with the number of blooms on my wisteria, is there anything I can do to increase them next year? #advice-needed #wisteria-tips

Wisteria is one of those plants that you have to follow the pruning rules. Once you have the framework established, prune everything back to 5 buds or so from the framework in Julyish(after flowering) and then in Januaryish prune them back again to 2 buds from your framework. Each of these little stubby fingers becomes a flowering spur like on a fruit tree. The more stubby fingers you make, the more flowers you will get 👍😄

Excellent @sadieberg, I inherited it as a reasonable big plant but it’s been in mine for about 3 years. I love them but want to make the most of it so will definitely follow your advice.
