I’m selling my fig as there are too many squirrels that strip it bare no matter what the measures in place. It crops lovely but I never get to eat them. Can anyone direct to a site I can sell it on, eBay maybe?

Gone from over 30 to just 2 after repeated squirrel raids, I'm going to have to find a way of protecting my fruit for next year, all that effort! Hope I get to eat these 2 😤😢

My pea sized fruits from last year have all dropped off, I have no idea why 😡

Incredible you can grow figs. Can't see our Irish weather letting us do that. Pity

I'm in South Wales @lizarmitage I didn't think it would work either, blind optimism and a south facing wall and hey presto, no idea which variety though a friend gave me a 2 ft stick from another friends fig a couple of winters ago. Just gotta try it sometimes. 😁

@angiecrazycatlady that happened to mine last year, bit of research suggested it was lack of water at development stage so moved up to a bigger pot and watered it steadily from Feb onwards, would have had an armful if not for the hoards of grey squirrels happily helping themselves to them when they were small. I need to provide an easier food source and some kind of net/mesh protection next year I think!

That makes sense as my fig is at the back of my fav patch which is tricky to get to with a watering can, right I'm going to move it as I love figs and so far I've only had one off it 😢

Not sure which one it is but it fruits quite well against a south facing wall.
