What kind of caterpillars? This looks like Japanese beetle damage...
Same ones in the previous photo I uploaded to this @emch , handsome creatures!
But what are they @lewish ? What butterfly or moth hosts on Annual Honesty? Google was stumped
Looks like tortoiseshell butterfly caterpillar (Aglais urticae) @emch they usually eat nettles I think
So Honesty must be a relative...
