From what I understand hebe are part of the genus veronica so they're called shrubby veronica to distinguish from perennial veronicas. But everyone calls them hebe because of that's their Latin name. @kez001uk @jeatacake
@gjones I haven’t had this one flower yet but moved it to a sunnier spot in hopes there’s still time this summer. Looks unlikely though. I’m sorry to hear they don’t survive where you are 😟 is it the harsh winters?
@gjones that’s a shame, they’re lovely foliage plants and the flowers are cute too ☺️ generally the winters in Cambridge aren’t too bad. We are in a dip so a lot of the worst goes over us. We go below zero a bit but only by a couple of degrees for the most part. How about you?
@kez001uk Kerry here in January and February it's not uncommon for it to reach -30C!! On occasion it has gotten colder😣 Our average winter daytime temperature would be -12C. The nights of course are colder😐
