At last! If this was an animal it would be a tortoise. Talk about taking your time! 4/5 years to flower and then about three months to open from the first buds. Still not complaining -really 😂. The first flower is opening. Looks slightly yellow in colour. Maybe it will look whiter when it all opens. @pelly @ublaszko

It will be well worth the wait though Nicola and now I've got the wait to endure 💚💚

I've resigned myself to waiting 7 years so I would be very happy if mine would flower after 4-5 years 😂 I really hope the flowers will be worth it 😅

There slow starters but when they get going they go, fabulous plant

Oh wow mine”s been in bud for a decade I’m sure....👏🏼👏🏼

Lovely!

I am beside myself with excitement. Looks like this will be the first year my climbing hydrangea will flower 😃 @pelly

How many years has it been? Wondering what mine will do, it's in it's 3rd year 🤞

Whoohoo, I bet you are. Think I’ve a while to go before I get that feeling 💚💚

It’s it’s fourth year Denise. @Denise16 yours won’t be too long

Probably Jane although that’s a good healthy looking specimen. They like to keep us guessing @pelly

I'm only on year 2 😥 2 more to go 😰😁

Patience is a virtue Ursula. And we Gardeners’ are very virtuous! 😂 @ublaszko

😂😂😂

Looks great! Was checking mine against your photo but not sure if It’s in bud or not!
Climbing Hydrangea update. These flowers are taking ages to open but are going to be fab! @pelly @ublaszko
I've got loads on mine this year.
Wow, it's looking fab Nicola 💚💚
Fantastic 😍😍😍
Mine is not doing so well as I've been watering it with tap water 😦 I checked the water with my ph meter and it's slightly alkaline but the soil in the pot is more alkaline than the water so I'm not sure what is going on. 😕
To be honest mine doesn’t get much attention but it’s in a bed not a pot. It gets tap water too when I remember and liquid seaweed feed. @ublaszko
Mine has ph too alkaline so feeding it won't make a difference. 😕 I might just pot it on and get more ericaceous compost.
